And CDH - thank you for all your well wishes and help organizing the street team efforts, and basically keeping us all informed of the latest BDS news. I wish you all the best

I just have one more thing to say and then I'll try to shut-up: Please don't let anyone (flashy, fast-talking record exec types) talk you into changing. You're just right the way you are. If I find one of you out on the road in an Armani suit with a trio of rhinestoned oh-wo backup singers, I'm digging a hole and pulling it in on top of me. You don't want that, do you?

hey there Bianca girl - thanks for your msg tis indeed a very sad time for the band; it definitely won't be the same any more, but don't be a stranger to the forums here, as the boys will continue to keep you up to date with everything they are doing. davy is likely to carry on with something Back Door Slam related in the States (so don't hang up your Slammer apron yet lass!) and will still be making the follow up record to Roll Away, possibly including some of the latest songs he's written that you all will have heard at recent gigs. adam and ross are likely to stay UK/Europe side with their projects (at least for now) but whatever they're doing, i'm sure they'd still welcome the support of the friends they've made through BDS. some of us slammers and slammettes have made friends outside of here too, thru social networking sites and the like, so I hope to continue to see you all out there CDH

We will selfishly decry the what could have beens, I will always be grateful for what was. Boys, you were nothing short of phenomenal in your achievements, your timing and your sense of the music. I'm so thankful to have caught your show last November here in Indiana with Gov't Mule. Just wish you had been given more performance time.
To all 3 of you, and all those behind you, THANK YOU! My best wishes to all for your future.
Bill

Thanks Bianca! You know, I'm not giving up on the Lads. True they won't be a group anymore, but you never give up on people you call your friends and thus, I will not give up on them or the people on this Forum. I'm looking forward to the future stories they tell and to the possibility of seeing them all again. You know, we all experience and learn new things everyday, it's just that sometimes we don't recognize it. I actually learned something today; I learned Guacamole is actually Christy! See, and you all thought that an old dog like me couldn't learn new tricks. Roy

I was shocked when I received your post from myspace yesterday, but the memories from our 5 encounters are etched in my brain. Here's hoping we will all cross paths in the future. Now on a serious note, nobody actually died in this transition, so why feel so morbid? Here's 3 young men with bright futures that still lay ahead, so let's raise a toast to the good times we had. Hey all!
So, I received this news with shock and a bit of selfish sadness (truth be told). After all, BDS has been my hands-down favorite band since Oct. '07!
It has been such a fun and rewarding ride so far! And I'm not getting off this ride yet! So glad to see many of you feel the same way.
I've met some incredible people, in person and on-line, developed friendships and seen BDS play quite a few times (I am embarrassed to say how many) ::)and wouldn't change a bit of it. So....THANKS FOR THE RIDE! ;D ;D
Boys....yer stuck wit' me! ;D Can't wait to see what comes from the three of you lads in the years ahead!
Big squishy hugs to BDS, Crew and Slam Family!
"One door closes, another one opens...." My Gram used to say that all the time. Here's to wide open doors fellas...Love Ya!

bring us some more music as you can friends, we will be here anxiously awaiting.

Here's another new thing this old dog just learned today. I thought all along, that was Bianca's arm sticking up in the air on her avatar. Turns out, it's someone elses! Gosh, I hope that doesn't mean that Duncan's avatar is a real picture of him? Hey, life goes on so it's time to lighten up and hoist a toast or two to Davy, Adam and Ross. What a run and who knows, what a run to come for all three of them!! Roy

Hahaha Roy - it totally looks that way! Its like one of the only pictures i have of just me, so yea.... it works Take it from me, yes it does work! Hey, I see you're from California. I was out in the Newport Beach area almost exactly a year ago. I went out there with a couple of friends to see two Joe Bonamassa shows. One was at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano on 1/31/08 and the other was at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana the next day. Really had a great time and the winter weather there sure beats Wisconsin's!! When we took off, it was -6 degrees F in Green Bay and when we landed in Santa Ana, it was in the low 60s. Ahhhhhhh, the smell of unfrozen fresh air was fabulous! Roy
