Davy and the new band blew away the crowd at Chesapeake. They were the talk of the day. Davy played his gold Les Paul most of the set which included new songs from Coming Up For Air and some stuff from Roll Away. They sold out of the new CD in a matter of minutes, and could have sold alot more if they had them. For those of you waiting for the new CD you will all love it.Evan & Nate it was great seeing and talking to you.Evan i will send you that email about Ryan McGarvey. wonder if the new bds would have done as well as they did if Adam and Ross hadnt worked so hard for 18 months to lay some seriously good ground work, getting the name back door slam out there? Back door slam will never be the same without Adam and Ross, would be nice to see some info on the new bds names, ages, experience etc or do we just except what blitz street now pay for and follow Davy?

Chesapeake was outstanding - band not as tight, but yes band mates do come and go and who knows who DK will be playing with in 1 year, 5, or 20? He and band awed the crowd, great fun to see them on the jumbotron. Really, crowd reaction was much greater for them than for most of the day's performers. Would post pics except cannot get insert image to activate paste function. Any ideas?

Yes, still a three-some. they do appear young - 24 or so? - hard to tell. Davy said nothing at all about the 2 new members, simply gave their names at the end of the set. Feels like a mystery band. They played Tear Down the Walls and Riverbed (if I recall correctly) and a song Davy wrote with Peter Frampton, plus others from CUFA and then did a few from Roll Away, including Come Home. Then did the cover of Almost Cut My Hair which was amazing, the best of the set in my opinion. Folks up front were calling out for Red House but no. The feel was more rock and less blues than last summer's tour. thanks for the welcome; glad to be here with fellow fanatics.
