Thank You Susy! You know, I feel very honored photographing and videoing these guys. I am by no means a professional photographer, but even I was surprised how good the pictures and videos turned out. The guys were on fire this night! A lot of the young men up front standing next to me had come from the Chicago area to see their hero and legend, Buddy Guy. They didn't even know who Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam were. Well, before the guys took the stage, I told them to make sure they remember the name Davy Knowles and also to remember what they see tonight. By the second song, these guys were on their feet giving a rousing standing ovation after every song. They told me they just couldn't believe that they hadn't heard of Back Door Slam, especially when I told them they had performed at Buddy Guy's club a year ago. To say they were impressed is a major understatement. I'm also very happy and honored to count Davy as one of my friends. Actually, I did get a chance to meet both PK and Steve first in Aurora, Illinois and then in Milwaukee too. They are also very warm and great people. Davy, well what can I say? What you see is what you get; a warm, humble young man whose skill level is years and years beyond his actual age. I saw Rory Gallagher live twice in my life when I was a young man back in the early '70s. I believed no one, and I repeat, no one could thrill a crowd like he could. However, I've now seen one young man whose name is Davy Knowles who does the same thing to people that Rory did. Some people laughed at me when I first said that. Now, they are starting to believe like I do. However, I just wish Davy would believe me! Roy
