Had the pleasure to see Davy July 10th at the Higher Ground in S.Burlington Vt. My 6th time seeing Davy and my first time seeing him with his new band. I must say the drummer Steve and bass player Pk bring lots of energy to the stage. I've never seen a bad show from BDS but this show was by far the best I've seen. 2 hours of high energy blues played by 3 guys who just fed off each other and really looked like they were having a good time. Their mood was contagious and the near sell-out crowd were fired-up. It was a good mix of new and old songs with some covers thrown in.The sound was excellent as usual and Davy's soulful vocals came shinning thru . I want to thank Shari and Chris for their hospitality, it was a great nite that I'll remember for a long time. ;D Cheers Paul

Very nice report Paul and I must agree with you, both PK and Steve bring a lot of energy to the stage. I've seen the new group twice now and will see them again August 1st. Thrilling to say the least!

Ya Roy and just like Adam and Ross they're super nice guys. Wish I was seeing them again soon , but it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it when they back-up Chickenfoot in Boston. Hopefully it wont be too long till they're back this way. cheers Paul

Hey Paul - I'm only one show behind you! Ditto to everything you said. What a great show, such energy! Davy really seems to be enjoying his new lineup. Loved hearing the Allman's song - that was very different and quite good. Special thanks to Chris and Shari for the hospitality, and Paul it was nice to meet you at last! What was the name of the guy who was at RAH? My brain was mush by the time I met him! Only complaint I had was the mediocre lighting - when we saw BDS here last year it was much better. Anyways, here are what I managed to take for pictures - warning there are a lot of them! Enjoy! www.flickr.com/photos/24057301@N05/sets/72157621439993855/Sandy P.S. What a great town Burlington is! Had such a good time! The show at Higher Ground was fantastic and anyone who lives near that venue is lucky indeed!
It was so good to see you again Paul! I got such a kick out of the big ass grin on yer face during the show! And so nice to meet you Sandy! GREAT pictures! The lighting was a bit dim and those dern red lights always confuse my camera and mediocre skills, but you seemed to do fine with it!
I've been to quite a few shows, and it's true...they just keep getting better and better! (have NEVER been let down by a show yet!)
;D Shari
