Yeah, they are.
All those back on IOM must be really jonesing without them. And then seeing how we all are loving them across the pond, I'm feeling for them. Hopefully they will see we're taking real good care of them.

Bianca's probably screaming for you, Knowlesette, right about now. Getting her wiggles on. Wish I were there, too. How many times have you gotten to see the guys? I take it you're from IOM? Gotta be hard yet exciting to watch this band progress and grow. No doubt, the fans back home gave them the strength and will to DO this. So thank you and all the homeys!. Do treat them well when home. And I think you'll see they are just the same sweet guys (bet they hate being called sweet, but they are!). I hope they do come through Salt Lake City soon upon their return. But at least I've seen them twice. My daughter (14) can't see them here, nor my son (18), where I've caught them, you have to be of legal age-21. So you are lucky! Though my daughter does now have a signed t shirt and I let her take my signed poster. My son found fliers at university advertising their last gig, so he's now wishing he could go, too. He'll probably end up getting a fake id (oops, maybe that's a thing a mum shouldn't know...)Soon they'll be home, with pics to show and tales to tell. Enjoy!

Hey aww bless her hehe. I see the lads quite allot. Well actually I see Davy every day - because he's my boif (boyfriend) haha .. kinda makes sense really haha When they're back home they tend to do a gig every weekend - but they're cutting down now. They'll be pooped (tired) when they get home, so I think we'll let them take a break. I'm still only 17 - 18 in 2 weeks though, SO EXCITED .. but I'm very lucky and manage to get into all their gigs in bars over here (legal age 18) - Big advantage of being Davy's girlfriend. Hehe. When me and my friends couldn't get into gigs, we used to stand by the window outside and watch and get our wiggles on out on the street haha .. an idea for your kids .. it they're that desperatly wanting to see the lads. Looking back it was a bit sad haha .. but anyways Yeah BDS have a BIG fanbase over here .. giving them lots of support which is great. It's really exciting watching them progress and do so well at something that they all love to do. I envy them in a way - the lucky buggars .. get paid for spending 3 months in USA playing with their toys and getting a tan!!! Yeah, so its only 19 days until they are home now YEAH !! Can't wait THE Knowlesette x

Well, there you go girl! He is a fine young man! Any mum should approve! How very sweet. Maybe another time through you can accompany for a bit and see how big the states are. Bet its a bit boring on the road after a while. If you end up in Salt Lake, let me know. I can show you around- or better yet, maybe let my kids show you around. The guys probably think I'm a bit nuts saying I'd fix them dinner if through these parts again, but I just mean it in the nicest way. Food on the road gets old, I bet. I'm sure he can't wait to see you. Soon...

Aww that's so nice. I'm sure they'd appreciate any kind of homemade food. If you know of any decent chinese resturante/take-aways around your area let Davy know ... he lives for chinese .. one thing he's missing terribly out there haha. I'd love to go watch them in USA. so much, but unfortunately I have school when they're out there and my bank account just won't let me haha. I've been to Florida with my family a few years ago, but no where like the places they're touring. I'm the sort of person who is shocked when she sneezes, and thinks rush hour in the Isle of Man is bad (and its tiny) so you can imagine the fun I'd have out there! haha. Might pop out next year if I get the chance.. Doesn't do them any harm out there without us though hehe .. makes them miss us abit Yeah my mum loves him hehe .. more than me I think haha .. she even buys him his own Tropical juice .. and gin and tonic water AND A LIME!! haha. He doesn't know how lucky he is haha! Are the lads anywhere near you when they jet out again in October? They go back out in Janruary aswell .. not sure where about they are though. Check the website for venues The Knowlesette x

Oh sister! I was wondering how the night went and now you are off chasing the band on another mission. (It's ok, Knowlesette-we are fans of the music! Once again, he is a sweet guy, ever so polite and kind-his mum should be so very proud-and you too!) I wish I was there with you! I don't know how to howl on this thing. I am eva (say that with a New England accent and proper body language/head snap) so jealous! I'm seriously thinking about telling the old man that we are moving, so I too can be within driving distance for 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW!!!! Maybe the only others to have the pleasure you surely are receiving right at this moment are those home fans from IOM. Well then again, YOU at the Viper Room. d**n!!! See, now I'm bordering on pissed that I live in this land that time forgot (well, actually I moved from there, that was Rigby, Idaho). I better go drown my sorrows in more than a few beers... lament and listen to my cd's...tears in my suds...feel ever so sorry for myself...I'll go sit on my daughters bedside and stare at the poster the guys signed for me, holding the disc they personalized, wearing the 2 shirts they also signed, first the daughter's (it fits but a little too snug for a woman of my age who doesn't like to push the envelope-or bust the buttons-if it had buttons), then top it with the one I had done for my husband, a bit oversized for me.... I'm bordering on being despondant...Oh wait, Davy told me they'd be back to Utah! I have a glimmer of hope, something to live for!!! And I'll get friends to attend and witness for themselves the magic of SLAM (that doesn't mean you're off the hook, Bianca, I am still eva so jealous!!!) But I declare, just as Scarlet did declare, "Tomorrow is another day"-and I can listen to SLAM and it's one day closer to the next time they breeze through my town. Oh yeah, life is good! Though I'm still going for another beer...and maybe a sandwich.
And Knowslette, I definitely can point Davy to some decent Chinese. What's his fav? If I don't know off the top of my head where to find it, I know how to find out. Besides being a music lover, I'm a foodie, too.(But what about Adam and Ross? And Mark, from my home state and Steve?)
If I ever get to the UK, maybe I'll stop in so mum can fix me a drink, too? My husband gets to Ireland for biz now and then. He's promised me next time I get to tag along and see the sites. I'll ditch Galway and show up on IOM!
And hopefully in January they will get back to Utah and into Park City for the Sundance Film Festival (though they better bring warm sweaters and jackets and be prepared to ski or snowboard-my family would gladly teach them to ski!). Lots of folks from all over the world descend on us. I volunteer for that. It's a hoot! Movies, stars and music. It's a huge party!

Hello hello! I am sorry it took me so long to post - i have been crazy busy with work, and traveling around to catch BDS Hehe, oops! But yea, I think I got about 13 hours sleep in 4 days, so yea. haha, it's almost as if I am living like our friendly rock stars or something But here goes ;D So on Wednesday, I worked from 7am to 8 pm, to drive directly to the Troubador (I work right off Santa Monica at the LA and the Troubador is on Santa Monica Blvd, so yea, I'm cool like that lol). So I get there, and the Troubador is seriously one of the coolest, old rock n roll type venues I have seen. From the outside all you see is the neon sign and a big wooden door. When you first walk in, there is a little room with a bar, benches and some chairs, and also a tv screen showing the concert from the next room. You walk through two double doors to get to the stage, which is literally right there. You can also walk upstairs and there is theatre-bench seating. The whole room is dark and intimate, and the music is loud and clear. There is an energy in the room which is pure rock n roll! So then Back Door Slam comes on stage. Halfway into the set the entore crowd when from curiously wondering who the band was to full on feeling the music and cheering. It was so freaking amazing. The performance was sick and seriously awesome. I was screaming as loud as I could (well, as loud as I could without being what-the-heck-is-she-freaking-out-about loud. Though maybe I still was ) Seriously, you guys have such stage presence, such energy, it is infectious and great! Thank you thank you for such a wonderful performance, and thank you so much for always putting so much into every show! Knowlesette, so poor Davy was eating his dinner after the show and was so busy being congratulated by all of us adoring fans, he couldnt eat his food! I felt so bad because i didnt even realize and went up to say hello, completely interrupting his meal. So, apologize for me please, i didnt meane to be rude! Lisa, I completely forgot to ask Adam about his hand. Um, yea, the set was so good that I am pretty sure the music made me forget my own name! Thank you again so much for introducing yourselfs, showing me your super sweet backstage-upstairs-VIP-room area, and seriously giving me an amazing night ;D I will never forget the Troubador, and you all really made me feel special. It's so wonderful that you all are so appreciative of your fans, even if they are lame awkward geeks like me! haha, yea, I completely made a fool of myself - let it go It's not always easy being superfan #99! Soooooo, the show was so fanatastic and I had such a great time, I decided that even though I had to wake up for work at 5 am, I should drive to Temecula and see them again for back to back performances. Clearly, playing the Troubador and the Pechanga Casino as the opener for REO Speedwagon are completely different settings, whcih was a really cool contrast. The auditorium in the casino was pretty big, and I was lucky enough to a get row F center ticket, which was great because I was pretty dang close. I warned the people around me that I was wicked into BDS, and that I may be a bit loud and obnoxious. Luckily for me, everyone around me was cool and told me to enjoy myself, which i did! To be in such a large venue, and watch the crowd fall in love with BDS was so amazing. One person even yelled "it is a crime to be so young and sound so good!" I tried to be somewhat tame, because I didnt want to upset those around me, but I was still shouting quite loudly and made sure to give standing ovations They even played a little Jimi Hendrix, which was freaking awesome. You all are so good, it's amazing ! Thank you guys for being so kind and amicable! Thank you for making sure to say hello and really being so very friendly. And most of all, thank you for two AMAZING back-to-back shows! Seriously trying to figure out how I can see you again before November ;D Can you even blame me Thank you so so so so so so so so much for two great evenings... well three in total Muah! You guys are the best You Slam-mate, ~Bianca PS - Sorry I am so ridiculously goofy! Pretend I'm cool

Hey Bianca, are slam-mates exclusive? Don't get a chance to post often, but I'm a huge fan and love to dance too. They all three is cuter than cute and are splitting the states wide open by the [shadow=red,left,300]sounds[/shadow] of it! I totally know what you're saying about the [glow=red,2,300] [/glow] they have on stage, it's way far gone. I can't wait til I see them rockin out again. Keep spreadin the SLAM girl!

Oh, I don't think Bianca and I are limiting this unofficial club to just me and she, but are you worthy? You must explain yourself (though, I must admit I don't know the rules).
