Karma?

OK, maybe this is a little off the wall, but I have a question regarding the Karma shown on this forum. My Karma is shown as -4 and in many circles "Karma" is known as one's fate or destiny. So with that in mind, does anyone know why my Karma is -4? Hopefully, I'm not headed in the negative directon or in other words, "down below", as my fate.
Thanks for answering.

Gee, that's very strange, I don't think I've upset anyone that I know of? I consider Davy, Adam and Ross friends and have spent time with them. I guess there are others in life that have to look to the negative all of the time. Oh well, they must not be very happy with their own lives. Good thing we all follow three great guys that are called Back Door Slam. Thanks for the bump up kareem! Roy

I noticed that about your karma too and I was going to jokingly ask, "Geez Roy! What did you say to someone on here?" I've never seen anyone on a proboard with a negative karma number. Could one of your friends from the JB board be doing it as a joke?

How's this for total ignorance? I have wondered about the karma thing ever since I first noticed it, but thought it had something to do with a positive attitude on the board and could only be accessed by moderators. I pay attention, don't I? I had no idea it could go up or down at another poster's whim. Don't worry, Roy. If yours goes back down, we'll bump it up again. (I'm off to figure out how that's done.) Ah-ha, Cato, I found it. Roy, you've been exalted! ;D

Hey, thanks everyone! There is a very good Bonamassa forum called "Bonamassa Live" and you can find it here: bonamassalive.com/The man that runs this one isn't on a power trip like some other forums. He really is a very nice fellow. Again, thank you all for your support over here. I really must admit, life is very good when you get to see and then visit with such quality people as Davy, Adam and Ross. I guess that quality shines through in the people that post on their forum. Thanks! Roy

Thanks much Michelle and again, thanks to everyone else too! You know, this forum is rather unsual as compared to other forums. Since joining it in May of this year after seeing the Lads for the first time live, I have not seen or read one argument or biting word directed from one forum member to another. That is something that many times is too prevalent at other forums. Maybe everyone's digestive track works better here? In any case, I'm just happy to be here and supporting such fine fellows as Davy, Adam and Ross. I'm sure you all are members of the Lad's Street Team, but if not, I would encourage you to sign up. It really is a fine organization! Roy

That's you in the positive again now Roy. That other place you mentioned is not good for my blood pressure these days! Incidently I'm occasionally on the forum of the Black Keys. There's a member there with karma of -92!

Thank you Duncan! Yes, ever since I.....uh hum.....stopped posting on that forum, my blood pressure has dropped 50 points. And here I thought it was the bloody marys that I drink. By the way, even though I can't see that other forum from work, I can still see it from home and I saw the recent BDS thread. That made my blood boil! Actually, I tried to get Jacque to look up Keith's E-mail address for me, so I could thank him for his support of the Lads. But Jacque isn't too well versed in a PC. I've always thought Keith does a great job reviewing/inteviewing people and of course, he supports both BDS and Ryan MacGarvey, both of whom I think very highly of. I've always said this of the Lads; if you see them perform live at a show and you still have doubts, then really you should go see a doctor, because obviously there is something wrong. I've also said this before; there's only five live performances that I've seen in my 55 years that absolutely blew me away. The one that Dawn (my wife) and I saw down at Buddy Guy's Legends the night of June 9th of this year is one of those shows. And of course, three young men simply known as Back Door Slam performed that night. Picture Dawn and I at a front row table with Davy standing about 9 feet in front of us during the whole show. All three young men, Davy, Adam and Ross, had their games faces on that night. I wish you all had been there, it was to say the least, thrilling! Hey, even Dawn walked away and couldn't believe what she saw and trust me, she is not easily impressed. Pictures from that night: www.flickr.com/photos/8384830@N04/sets/72157605538766350/ (patse the whole string into your browser) Dawn and I will never forget that night..... Roy

By the way, even though I can't see that other forum from work, I can still see it from home and I saw the recent BDS thread. That made my blood boil! Roy I did not like it either. What I'd just say is that there have been so many supportive comments of Back Door Slam on Joe Bonamassa's forum. Members of the forum there have taken BDS to their hearts and rightfully so. Sadly there has been a little bit of a backlash from a limited number of members on that forum, led by one of the moderators (Phil C). I was not looking to draw attention to their comments, as they are not particularly pleasant, however I'd say to BDS that these are not representative of the majority, who have rightfully observed Back Door Slam are one of the best new talents! Keep up the good work boys!

I too could see where that posting on the JB forum was leading. It was clear for all to see. I couldn't wait for it to end. It was an embarrassment to the forum given the stance of the moderators to people who they think are "promoting" other artists on Joe's board!!!

OK, I feel like I'm missing something. I know you all don't want to be negative but you seem to be talking about 2 different boards and I'm getting them confused. Duncan, which one isn't good for your blood pressure? Geoff, which one are you talking about? I think I might know. If you don't want to say on here you can send me a private message.

Wow, Roy. That seems like a strange reason for being banned from a forum. What's the harm in posting about other artists on someone's forum? It's just a great way to share a love of music - that's how I found out about quite a few of the bands/musicians I love now. I don't see a problem....unless an artist feels threatened by it and it takes attention away from them....or maybe it's a record company sponsored site and they feel their sales will be jeopardized. *shrug* Well, I'll help with your karma again.
