Today it's Knopfler : Golden Heart. Of course, the day is young. Lucky you, Kareem. Only 8 days! Let us know how the concert goes. (Not acquainted with Phamous Phaces, either. What type of music are we talking about?) hopefully i will get to take my dearly beloved other half as it is a week after her b day. phamous phaces does alot of british rock style. it is amazing just how much music is out there. finding stuff that i like is sometimes a challenge as i am old and set in my music. i still find it interesting that most everyday, i get to turn someone on to bds... mind blowing these young lads are. ;D

Not better half? I hope she gets to go, as well. We women love our rock 'n roll. Phamous Phaces sounds right up my alley. I will definitely look for them. I may be old and I have my favorites, but I'm always open to new music. I've mentioned BDS to a LOT of people lately, but it seems most folks are "set in their music" and barely acknowledge the hint. I figure the germ sits around in their brains and, when they finally get to hear them, it will become a full-blown virus. I know I have it. Thanks for the music tips. They are appreciated.

I hope you and your family had a great day yesterday. Did you make good on your promise to play the Slam all afternoon?
Today, I was listening to an old tape I had made long ago and ran across a song I loved "way back" by Box of Frogs called Back Where I Started. If you haven't heard it, it's worth a listen.

1st post - here goes. Oli Brown Band - Open Road. Saw them supporting Trout at Newcastle UK. Very good IMHO. Check them out on You Tube.
All I need now is for my Mrs to come home from work so I can get BDS via ITunes (need her credit card !!). Only just got some live BDS from DIME this morning. Been watching on youtube in between "working from home" hehe.

Oli Brown is a great talent. I saw him with Walter in Edinburgh and was so impressed I went to his gig in Berwick the following night, the day before the Newcastle gig. Three years younger than Davy, he is the next promising British guitarist on the scene. Would love to see BDS and Oli tour together! This is a video of Oli playing a new song of his called Love So Cold. A friend of mine (Tripsy filmed it) Enjoy uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AKj_X0yd030&fmt=18

Hi - I'm off to Dundee later toady through work so I'll rip the youtube-Oli clip onto my IPoD. Cheers. Oli's on at Hartlepool this friday. Just a few miles down A19 from me. Trouble is I don't get back from Dundee until 8.45 Friday night. Suppose I could always bomb down to Hartlepool. Problem is, what do I tell my Mrs? God what a coward I am.
Cheers - Dave

Anyone listening to oli brown ? goint to see him friday cant wait , also chantel mcgregor vids on youtube great little guitarist. Hi Rellimnomis, some of us are, did you see the posts above? Oli's on at Hartlepool this friday. Just a few miles down A19 from me. Trouble is I don't get back from Dundee until 8.45 Friday night. Suppose I could always bomb down to Hartlepool. Problem is, what do I tell my Mrs? God what a coward I am. Cheers - Dave Looks like you two might be meeting up tomorrow. Dave I'm like you, had to make excuses and even mislead about the location of gigs at times to my other half. Davy & Co, if you are reading these threads about Oli Brown, please check him out. He and his band are very talented and really nice guys too. Here's hoping you could play some shows with them: www.myspace.com/oliblues www.oliselectricblues.co.ukwww.
